RMT ON THE MARCH

RMT helpline 0800 376 3706 :: november/december 2014 :: RMTnews 15 R MT members hit the streets of London and Glasgow in October to call for an economy that works for the people. RMT banners flooded the huge march from the Thames Embankment to Hyde Park which united trade unionists, students, housing campaigners, anti-nuclear activists and many others at the TUC’s Britain Needs a Pay Rise march and rally. A sister march and rally took place in Glasgow under the banner A Just Scotland: Decent Work, Dignified Lives. TUC research has found the average worker is now £50 a week worse off than in 2007.
