In July I was suspended. Two months later I was sacked and then re-instated on appeal three weeks later. The support of the branch was overwhelming, the advice of Paul King was greatly appreciated and the professionalism of John MacDonald was fantastic. Without their efforts I wouldn’t be here today. My case proves beyond a doubt that the union is more than capable of representing train drivers and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend RMT membership to others in my grade.
